With so many chiropractors out there, it’s hard to find the right one that’s going to suit your needs. Whether you live in Hertfordshire, Holland Park or Paddington, there will be a chiropractic clinic out there that can help. But, before you commit to treatment, there are a few things you should do to make sure you’re getting the right care from the right chiropractor.

Chiropractors use a whole range of philosophies and techniques, so finding the right one can be a challenge. They focus on bone manipulation and balancing the nervous system, and might choose to use a variety of different techniques. They will also advise you about posture and lifestyle.

It’s always best to ask family, friends and colleagues whether they can recommend a chiropractor. Personal references speak volumes about the quality of care provided by that particular medical professional. Once you have a recommendation, ring up the practice.

You should also try to get a feel for the establishment; ask if you can come in and meet with the chiropractor to find out a bit more about their work. Find out what techniques the chiropractor specialises in, and how much experience they have.

If you are unable to find a recommendation through word of mouth, try calling your insurance company, if you have one. They will have a list of recommended chiropractic clinics in your area that they will deal with. Or ask your doctor, who might be able to help. Aarti Shah is recognised by BUPA, Norwich Union, Standard Life and many other insurance companies.

Before you go and see anyone however, you should check out what qualifications they have. Make sure they have carried out the necessary training required and have experience.

As well as being a member of The General Chiropractic Council and The McTimoney Chiropractic Association, Aarti Shah is highly recommended, qualified and experienced, and would be delighted to talk further with you about your requirements and questions.
